Dover Security (operated as a family-run local business based in Dover, Kent CT16) takes data seriously. This page is the short version.

What we collect

• If you contact us (email, phone, WhatsApp, form): your name, contact details, postcode, and whatever you tell us about the job. We use this to quote and deliver the job, nothing else.
• If you visit the site: standard analytics, page views, approximate location, device type. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for this. No advertising cookies, no remarketing pixels, no third-party ad networks.

What we don't do

• We don't share your information with third parties for marketing.
• We don't add you to any mailing list without you asking.
• We don't keep enquiry data longer than needed, typically 12 months after the job, then deleted.

Form submissions

The contact form on this site posts directly to a script on our own server, which sends the message to our hello@doversecurity.co.uk inbox. No third-party form processor is involved. Your submission is stored in server logs for troubleshooting purposes for 30 days and then rotated out.

Analytics

Google Analytics 4 records anonymised visit data (page views, session length, approximate country or region). We use it to understand which pages are useful. You can opt out via your browser's Do Not Track setting or Google's GA4 opt-out browser add-on.

Camera footage from installed systems

We do not have ongoing access to footage recorded by a camera system once it is installed, unless you have specifically asked us to provide a monitored service through our monitoring partner (see the pricing page). Footage from a system we install belongs to you, is stored on your own device or account, and is your responsibility as the system owner. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to confirm what data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop processing it. Email hello@doversecurity.co.uk for any of those. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

The site sets a small number of cookies: GA4 for analytics only. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, no third-party marketing pixels.
